Fireside Chai Spiced Black Tea loose leaf

Our blend of Fireside Chai is full of fragrant spices that gives this delicious tea a warm and zingy kick. The Assam tea, which is strong and malty, provides the perfect base for spices including cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and black pepper (see full ingredient list below).

The inclusion of star anise, which adds a taste of liquorice and fennel to the mix, enhances the medley of warm, sweet, and spicy notes, and ultimately takes this super tasty chai to the next level.

We recommend using one teaspoon per serving and using freshly drawn water at 100°C for at least 3 minutes. Although this spicy chai is superb by itself, we love adding a dash of milk and sugar (or honey) for an even more sumptuous treat.

If you fancy going all in on the ‘chai experience’ then why not try making it on the hob or camping stove. To do this, gently heat 1 pint (approximately 0.6l) of milk and approximately 10g (one tablespoon) of Fireside Chai. Heat for about 5 minutes and stir intermittently. You don’t want the milk to boil. When done, carefully remove from the heat and pour into a wide-brimmed jug. Then pour into mugs using a strainer.

For the best Fireside Chai experience, we recommend sipping it with friends around an open or campsite fire. Toasted marshmallows optional!
