Our decaffeinated Sri Lankan black tea is light and refreshing with a hint of maltiness. It’s grown, harvested, and produced in the same way as other black teas.

Refreshing Ceylon tea without the caffeine

The caffeine is removed using the carbon dioxide decaffeination process, which allows the tea to retain its fullest flavour.

The rolled brown leaves produce a gorgeous liquor that is medium brown and almost golden in colour. The taste is mellow and less astringent than other black teas, which means it can be enjoyed by itself or with a dash of cow's milk or a plant based milk. Or, why not try it without any milk and with a slice of lemon for a refreshing alternative?

While this tea is not super strong, it’s refreshing nature is an absolute delight. And since it’s decaffeinated, it can be enjoyed all the time day or night. 

What's the best way to brew decaf tea?

We recommend brewing this delicious decaf tea using fresh water at 100°C for 3 minutes, perhaps a little longer if you’re after more strength and a bit more bite.

If you’re looking for a strong and malty decaffeinated black tea, then our decaffeinated Assam loose black tea might be more up your street. Alternatively, why not try blending the two together (50:50) for a medium strength cuppa, which many of our customers are enjoying.
